Michael’s Naturopathic Recalls Cholesterol Metabolism Factors

Michael’s Naturopathic Programs is recalling some lots of the dietary supplement Cholesterol Metabolism Factors because it may contain undeclared milk and soy. The milk is in the form of calcium caseinate. Anyone who is allergic to milk and/or soy, or who is lactose intolerant, could have a serious reaction if they consume this product. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Recall

The recalled product is Cholesterol Metabolism Factors, sold in white plastic bottles with the Michael’s brand label. Three sizes of this product are affected: 90 count, 180 count, and 270 count. These are the lot numbers and Best By dates: 1307013 and 6/2016; 1310060 and 10/2016; 1402177 and 3/2017; 1405356 and 6/2017; 1408114 and 8/2017; 1410186 and 11/2017; 1501476 and 2/2018; 1505367 and 6/2018; 1510296 and 11/2018; and 1602062 and 3/2019. The UPC numbers of the recalled products are 755929010752, 755929010769, and 755929010776. You can see pictures of product labels at the FDA web site.

The products were distributed nationwide through retail stores and online ordering. The recall was initiated when updated allergen information was received from the contract manufacturer.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to milk and/or soy, or are lactose intolerant, do not take it. Return it to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
