New Moon Tea Recalled for Salmonella in Canada

New Moon Tea is recalling two of its products in Canada because it could be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of these products. They were sold in British Columbia and also through internet sales.

The recalled products are all New Moon Tea Co. brands. They include Sunrise Tea in 25 gram and 50 gram packages. There is no UPC number. Those products were sold from January 2015 through May 18, 2016. Also recalled is Turmeric Tonic in 26 gram packages. There is no UPC number on that product, and it was sold from October 2015 to May 18, 2016.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away in a sealed container or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Wash your hands carefully after handling this product.
