One Heart Swiss Chard Pesto Recalled for Botulism

One Heart Organics is recalling One Heart brand Swiss Chard Pesto in Canada for possible Clostridium botulinum contamination. Botulism toxin can cause serious illness and death. No reports of illness have been received to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

One Heart brand Swiss Chard Pesto was sold in two sizes.  The 8 ounce packages is recalled. The other was sold in 16 ounce packages. All units sold up to and including December 15, 2016 are recalled. There is no UPC number on these products. They were sold in Ontario at the retail level.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away in a sealed or double bagged container or take them back to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
