Recall of Flax Seed Powder for Salmonella Updated

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Advantage Health Matters are updating the recall of Organic Traditions Sprouted Flax Seed Powder and Sprouted Chia & Flax Seed Powder for possible Salmonella contamination. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these products.

The code is LOT:AHM626151118N and the UPC number is 8 54260 00626 1. Also recalled is Sprouted Flax Seed Powder in 454 gram packages. The code is LOT:AHM553151118N and the UPC number is 8 54260 00553 0. Finally, Sprouted Chia & Flax Seed Powder in 227 gram packages is recalled. The lot number for that product is LOT:AHM621151211N and the UPC number is 8 54260 00621 6.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Food contaminated with Salmonella bacteria will not look, smell, or taste bad or spoiled. Throw the product away in a sealed or double bagged container, or return to the place of purchase for a full refund.
