Sabatini’s Pot Pies Recalled for Undeclared Egg

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Sabatini U. Gourmet Foods are recalling two types of pot pies because they contain egg, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Anyone who is allergic to egg could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat these products. One person has reported becoming ill after eating these products.

Sabatini's Pot Pie Egg RecallThe recalled products are Sabatini’s Gourmet Fodos Beef and Vegetable Pie in 500 gram containers. All codes where egg is not declared on the label are recalled. The UPC number is 6 25616 00381 0. Also recalled is Sabatini’s Gourmet Foods Chicken Pot Pie in 500 gram containers. All codes where egg is not declared on the label are recalled. The UPC number for that product is 6 25616 00382 7. They were sold in Ontario at the retail level.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to egg, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
