Stahlbush Island Farms is updated its recall of Stahlbush Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) Green Beans for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. There have been no illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
The lot numbers on the back of the 10 ounce paper packages are as follows: 16034001, with a “best buy” code date of 02/03/18; 15097001, with a “best buy” code date of 04/07/17; 14328001, with a “best buy” code date of 12/2016 (this is the change); 15362001, with a “best buy” code date of 12/28/17; and 14310002, with a “best buy” code date of 11/06/16. The product has a UPC number 6 38882 00053 7. This product was sold throughout the United States and Canada.
If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or throw it away in a sealed container. Clean your refrigerator and/or freezer with a mild bleach solution to kill any remaining bacteria.
If you ate any of this product, monitor yourself for the signs of listeriosis for the next 2 months. Those symptoms include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Pregnant women may only be mildly ill, but listeriosis can cause miscarriage and stillbirth.
