The Farmers Market Chopped Asian Salad Kit Recalled

A precautionary recall of three cases, each containing six salads, of The Farmers Market Chopped Asian Salad Kit is being issued for possible undeclared soy, almonds, and wheat, three of the main food allergens. This product is manufactured by Fresh Express and sold at Giant Eagle Stores.

The Farmers Market Chopped Asian Salad Recall

Giant Eagle has retrieved all but three of the individual bowls. The three they have not removed were sold at a Giant Eagle store in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.  The recalled product is in a 6.25 ounce bowl, and has product code G126B22 and use-by date of May 20, 2016 located on the bottom label.

Incorrect labels were applied to a small quantity of the salad kits. Anyone who is allergic to soy and almonds, and is allergic to wheat or has celiac disease could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses have been reported in connection with this recalled product.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to soy, almonds, and/or wheat, or have celiac disease, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
