Banquet Chicken Nuggets Meal Tray Recalled for Salmonella

USDA has issued a public health alert, informing consumers that the brownie mix dessert that is in the Banquet Chicken Nuggets with Mac & Cheese meal trays may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue. The recall of 110,817 pounds of frozen meals is being issued out of an abundance of caution.

The recalled product is 7.4 ounce vacuum-packed trays containing “Banquet Chicken Nuggets with Mac & Cheese” with Code 3100080921 and a “BEST IF USED BY” date of July 20, 2018. It was produced on January 26, 2017. The product has the FSIS establishment number “P-9” printed on the side of the box. The meal trays were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

The problem was discovered when Conagra Brands, Inc. got notification from a supplier that an ingredient used in the brownie mix may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed container or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
