Deli Chicken Salad Sandwich at KingSoopers Recalled for Listeria

Kroger Stores has posted a recall of their pre-packaged Deli Chicken Salad Sandwich for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The product was sold at KingSoopers stores in several states. There is no word on whether or not any illnesses have been reported to date.

Recall

The product is 6.8 ounce containers of Deli Chicken Salad Sandwich (pre-packaged). The UPC number on the product is 663209-02050 and the sell by dates are 09/20/2017 through 09/28/2017.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed or double bagged package so other people and animals can’t eat it, or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.

Wash your hands after handling this product. And clean out the refrigerator, if it was stored there, with a mild bleach solution to kill bacteria.

If you ate this product, watch yourself for the symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes food poisoning for the next 70 days. Those symptoms could be mild, like the flu, or they could be more serious, with headache, stiff neck, high fever, and diarrhea. If you do feel sick, see your doctor.
