Hostess Recalls Holiday White Peppermint Twinkies for Possible Salmonella

Hostess Brands is recalling its Holiday White Peppermint Hostess® Twinkies® because of a recall by Blommer Chocolate Company of the confectionary coating used on the product. That coating was made with Valley Milk Products dry milk, which was recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

This recall applies only to the White Peppermint Hostess Twinkies sold in multipack boxes that contain 9 individually wrapped cakes in a box. The UPC number of the product is 888109111571. The product was sold to mass merchandisers, grocery stores, distributors, dollar stores, discount stores, and convenience stores throughout the country.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
