Sweet Chili Chicken Products Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

Mountain View Packaging of Idaho is recalling 1,080 pounds of chicken products for misbranding and undeclared wheat, milk, and egg, three of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to wheat, milk, and egg, or who is lactose intolerant or has celiac disease who eats this product could have a serious allergic reactions. No reactions have been reported to date in connection with this issue.

The recalled product is 18 ounce packages of “@ease Sweet Chili Chicken Meal Starter, Fuly cooked boneless, battered white meat chicken in a sweet chili sauce,” with a “Best By” date of 5/17/2018 and UPC number 36800-38348. The products have the establishment number “EST. P-39904” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were packaged on December 23, 2016 and December 30, 2016. These items were sold to a distributor in Utah for further distribution in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming.

The problem was discovered by a customer who was trying to scan the items into inventory. If you purchased this product and cannot eat wheat, milk, and/or egg, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
