TJX Recalling Glass Beer Mugs for Burn and Laceration Hazards

TJX is recalling glass beer mugs because they can break if heated or used with hot liquid. This poses a burn and laceration hazard.

The clear glass mugs hold 16.9 ounces. The mugs have a label on the side that reads “Handmade in Poland.” A second label on the bottom of the mug has the HomeGoods style number 069386.  The mugs were sold nationwide from May 2017 to June 2017 for about $4.00.

About 500 units were sold in the United States, and about 1,500 were sold in Canada. No incidents or injuries have been reported in the U.S., but there were two injuries reported in Canada. One person’s abdomen was burned.

Consumers should immediately stop heating or using the recalled glass beer mugs with hot liquid. Return them to the nearest HomeGoods store for a full refund.
