Brand Castle, Sisters Gourmet Mixes Recalled For Possible E. coli

Brand Castle LLC of Bedford Heights Ohio, in cooperating with ADM Milling Company, is recalling 25 ounce and 32 ounce glass jars of Cookie and Browne mix because they may be contaminated with E. coli bacteria. ADM Milling has issued a recall for the flour used in these products because of E. coli contamination that was found in a single lot of H&R Flour produced at their Buffalo plant.

  • Brand Castle Arctic Chill Chocolate Mint Cookie Mix with UPC number 6-54448-01035-2 and lot number L6112618. It was distributed as potential retail product in Ohio as product samples only.
  • Brand Castle Hot Cocoa Cookie Mix, with UPC number 6-54448-01036-9 and lot number L5111918. It was distributed to retail stores in Alabama, New York, and South Carolina.
  • Sisters Gourmet Million Dollar Cookie Mix, with UPC number 6-54448-00002-5 and lot number L2121818. This product was distributed to retail stores in Minnesota, Missouri, and New York.
  • Sisters Gourmet Billion Dollar Brownie Mix, with UPC number 6-54448-00017-9 and lot number 31OCT2019BC8324. It was distributed to retail stores in Missouri and Utah.
  • In the Mix Chocolate Mint Chip Cookie Mix, with UPC number 6-54448-01081-9 and lot number LM101518. It was distributed to retail stores in Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska.
  • Brand Castle The Grinch Sugar Cookie Mix with Sprinkles, with UPC number 6-54448-01038-3, and lot number 25JUL2019BC8324. This product was distributed in Ohio.

Flour produced by ADM Milling is linked to an E. coli outbreak that has sickened at least 17 people. Three people have been hospitalized. However, no illnesses have been reported in association with these specific recalled products. The company has stopped shopping product from their facility.

If you bought any of these products, do not use them. Throw them away in a sealed container, or return it to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
