Two products, Table 87 Frozen pizzas and Greener Pastures whole chicken, have been recalled because they were produced without the benefit of federal inspection. No confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been received to date in connection with these recalls.
The Table 87 recall is an expansion of the recall issued on June 6, 2019 to include more products and production dates. That recall was for prosciutto pizzas. The new recall includes pepperoni pizzas and another prosciutto pizza.
The recalled products were produced from June 3, 2017 through June 4, 2019. They are:
- 9.6-oz. plastic shrink-wrapped packages containing a single personal size pizza identified as “TABLE 87 COAL OVEN PIZZA Home Of The Coal Oven Slice PROSCIUTTO” with UPC codes 804879558286 and 10804879558283.
- 9.7-oz. plastic shrink-wrapped packages containing a single personal size pizza identified as “TABLE 87 COAL OVEN PIZZA Home Of The Coal Oven Slice PEPPERONI” with UPC code 804879583080.
The pizzas have the establishment number “EST. 51192” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The firm added this mark of inspection without authorization. The pizzas were shipped to retail and wholesale locations nationwide and were sold through online sales as well.
The second recall is for Greener Pastures chicken produced by Pasture Raised Foods in Elgin, Texas. That company, doing business as Greener Pastures Chicken, a grower/non-inspected processor, is recalling an undetermined amount of frozen raw whole poultry products that were made without inspection.
These chicken were produced from November 29, 2018 through May 24, 2019. The recalled product is varying weight vacuum sealed packages containing one whole “Greener Pastures Chicken” with the head and feet removed. These products do not have an official USDA mark of inspection but were labeled with the establishment number “USDA P-34438” without authorization. They were shipped to retail, wholesale, and restaurant locations and to individual households in Texas.
If you purchased these items, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
