HEB Jalapeno Avocado Dressing is being recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. No illnesses have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of this product. The recalling firm is Salata Dressings of Houston, Texas.

The recalled product was sold in Texas HEB grocery stores between July 13, 2026 and August 5, 2026. The recalled item is HEB Jalapeno Avocado Dressing that is packaged in a 12 ounce plastic bottle with a black cap. The best by dates, which are printed on the top of the label, are 11/05/2026, 11/13/2026, 11/18/2026, or 11/25/2026. The jalapeños were used to make the salad dressing between July 8, 2026 and July 29, 2026. No picture of the recalled product was provided in the notice.
The recall was triggered when the company supplier told them that the diced jalapeño were possibly contaminated with the pathogen and associated with a multistate Salmonella outbreak that the FDA is investigating. The company identified all of the finished product, stopped distribution, quarantined and destroyed the product, and notified HEB immediately.
If you purchased this product, do not et it. You can throw it away in a secure trash can after first double bagging or wrapping it so others can’t see it, or you can take it back to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
