Southern Grove Cashews Recalled for Possible Glass Contamination

Star Snacks Co. has issued a voluntary recall of two lots of its “SOUTHERN GROVE CASHEW HALVES AND PIECES WITH SEA SALT” product, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). The recall was initiated after a consumer reported finding pieces of glass in the cashews. Star Snacks Co. is headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey. The products affected by the recall were distributed to ALDI stores in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.
