Pieces of Glass Prompt the Recall of Two Products in Canada

Pieces of glass in two products in Canada have prompted recalls. The first recall is for St. Dalfour Deluxe Chestnut Spread, and the second recall is for Selection Baby Dill with Garlic Pickles. These pieces of glass pose a mouth injury and  possible choking hazard. No injuries or adverse events have been reported in either recall. Both of these are Class 2 recalls. The first recall is for St. Dalfour Deluxe Chestnut Spread from the Satau Inc. company. This product was distributed in Ontario and Quebec at the retail level. President’s Choice and PC Black Label Sauces Recalled in Canada For Pieces of Glass

Loblaw Companies Limited is recalling some President's Choice and PC Black Label brand sauces in Canada for possible glass pieces, which present a choking and injury hazard. No injuries or adverse reactions have been reported to date in connection with this issue. The recalled products are President's Choice Creamy Horseradish in 250 ml bottles. The codes on the product are All Best Before Dates up to and including 2019 SE 09. The UPC number is 0 60383 69304 6. Also recalled is President's Choice Thai Red Curry Cooking Sauce in 400 ml bottles. Monster Energy Caffe Monster Salted Caramel Drink Recalled For Glass

Monster Energy Canada is recalling their Caffe Monster Salted Caramel Energy Drink because it may contain glass pieces, which can pose a choking and injury hazard. No illnesses or injuries have been reported to date in connection with this recall. The recalled product is Monster Energy Caffe Monster Salted Caramel Energy Drink in 405 ml containers. The codes on the product are Best Before JA2120 BF A, JA2120 BF B, JA2220 BF A, and JA2220 BF B. The UPC number on the product is 0 70847 03184 0. The recall was triggered by the company. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is conducting a food safety investigation. More high risk products may be recalled due to this investigation. Southern Grove Cashews Recalled for Possible Glass Contamination

Star Snacks Co. has issued a voluntary recall of two lots of its “SOUTHERN GROVE CASHEW HALVES AND PIECES WITH SEA SALT” product, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). The recall was initiated after a consumer reported finding pieces of glass in the cashews. Star Snacks Co. is headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey.
