Carl Rittberger Sr. Inc. of Ohio is recalling about 9,000 pounds of fully cooked deli items because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. No illnesses have been reported.
The recalled deli products include the following: spice loaf, garlic bologna, German brand bologna, wieners, grillers, kielbasa, Straight HB roll and natural casing hotdogs. The products will have “Est 13″ in the Ohio Department of Agriculture mark of inspection. The products were purchased after June 25, 2012. If you have purchased these products, contact Rittberger’s for confirmation. You can return the product to the place of purchase.
A routine inspection had a positive Listeria test result; that product did not leave the plant. This recall is voluntary, out of an abundance of caution.
