Nestle Recalls Purina ONE Dry Dog Food For Possible Salmonella

Nestle is recalling some of their Purina dry dog food because of possible Salmonella contamination. One bag of the product contained the pathogenic bacteria. No illnesses have been reported in connection with this product.

The recalled product is ONE beyOnd Our White Meat Chicken & Whole Barley Recipe Adult Dry Dog Food with best by date of October 2014 and production code 31071083. THe UPC  number is 17800 12679, and the bag size is 3.5 pounds.

If you purchased this product, discontinue feeding it to your pet and discard it in a sealed container so other animals can’t get at it. Pets infected with Salmonella may have decreased appetite, fever, abdominal pain, and lethargy. Humans can contract infections from handling contaminated pet food.
