Swanson Health Products Recalls Cilantro for Salmonella

Swanson Health Products is voluntarily recalling Swanson Premium Brand Full Spectrum Cilantro (Coriander) because it may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall.

The product was sold through several different methods. It was sold at the Swanson Health Products retail store at 109 Broadway North in Fargo, North Dakota; shipped directly to online or mail-order customers; or held for pickup by the consumer at Swanson Health Products headquarters. It was sold between November 21, 2013 and January 31, 2014. The lot numbers are 203921 and 204888, with a manufacturing date of 11/2013. The item number is SW1112.

The company’s supplier, UST Corporation notified Swanson Health Products about this problem. The raw material and the finished product capsules have been tested; no bacteria has been found.

If you purchased this product, do not consume it. Return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
