Armour Vienna Sausage Recalled; May be Undercooked

Pinnacle Foods Group LLC of Iowa is recalling about 90,975 pounds of bourbon barbecue sausage products because they may have been underprocessed. There have been no reports of illness due to the consumption of these products.

Recall SignageThe recalled product is 5-ounce cans of “Armour Vienna Sausage Bourbon BBQ Flavored” (24 per case). Each can has the establishment number “P-4247” inside the USDA mark of inspection, a UPC number of “54100 93824” and a use by date of September 7, 2015. The products were produced on September 7, 2012 and sold to retail establishments nationwide. You can download the retailĀ distribution list at the FSIS web site.

The problem was discovered by the company. It occurred because of processing time miscalculations. If you have questions, call the company at 1-888-299-7646 Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm ET. If you purchased this product, return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
