Bloch’s Best Issues Allergy Alert on Eggs in Rugelach

Bloch’s Best Inc, doing business as Laromme of Monsey in New York, is recalling rugelach because it may contain undeclared eggs. People with egg allergies who consume this product may have a serious or life-threatening reaction.

Product details:

  • Laromme brand Vanilla Rugelach
  • 14-ounce round clear plastic container
  • UPC code number 87062500954-8
  • 10 cases, with 18 containers each, were distributed to retail outlets
  • Distributed in stores in Massachusetts, Maryland, and New Jersey between November 2, 2011 and December 22, 2011

One person has become ill in connection with consumption of this product.

The problem was caused by a change in the label design. The label has since been corrected. Stores have been instructed to return the product. If you have purchased this product and are allergic to eggs, return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
