Walmart Recalls Cruller Pastries Because of Undeclared Milk

Walmart is recalling Cruller bakery pastries because the common name “milk” was not listed following sodium caseinate, which is a milk derivative. If you are allergic to milk and consume this product, you may have a serious or life-threatening reaction.

Product details:

  • Cruller bakery pastries
  • UPC number 787429847
  • Expiration dates on or before February 9, 2012
  • Ring-shaped twisted sweet cake similar to a doughnut
  • Eight count packages
  • Labeled and sold in Walmart store bakeries in Puerto Rico and all US states except Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont

All stores affected by the recall have been told to remove and discard the mislabeled products. One adverse reaction has been reported in connection with consumption of this product.
