Whole Foods Recalls Chocolate Chip Cookies for Undeclared Nuts

Whole Foods Market is recalling their Mini Chocolate Chip Cookeis because they contain undeclared walnuts. Walnuts are a tree nut, one of the major food allergens.

  • Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • Packaged in a small brown paper bag with a clear window
  • Package has a chocolate chip cookie label on the front
  • Sell-by date is printed on the back of the bag
  • Sell-by dates March 8, 2012 through March 28, 2012
  • UPC number 2-21485-20399-5
  • Distributed in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas

To date, no illnesses have been reported in association with the consumption of this product. The labeling error was discovered by a store employee. If you have purchased this product and are allergic to tree nuts, return it to the store for a full refund.
