In Canada, Cooked Chicken Breast Strips Recalled for Possible Salmonella

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Desco Services Alimentaires Inc. are warning the public to not consumer Le Champ de Coq brand Seasoned, Cooked Chicken Breast Strips because they may be undercooked. Therefore, they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria.

The Seasoned, Cooked Chicken Breast Strips are sold in 4 kg packages. The UPC number isĀ 83569400974043, the code on the product is Best Before: 2013-NO-05, and the packages bear the stamp “CANADA 209”. No illnesses have been reported associated with the consumption of this product. The product was sold in Quebec.

Food contaminated with Salmonella bacteria may not look or smell spoiled. Salmonellosis can cause high fever, severe headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
