marcobars-salmonella-recallGoMacro of Viola, Wis. is recalling almond butter and sunflower butter MarcoBars for possible Salmonella contamination. No illnesses have been reported at this time, but consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them as Salmonella can cause serious illness.

The recalled products are almond butter + carob bars with lot number 1634 and expiration 10 Mar 15 or lot number 1645 and expiration 18 Mar 15; and sunflower butter + chocolate bars with lot number 1646 and  expiration 18 Mar 15 and in a foil wrapper. These products were distributed across the country and internationally via retail stores, mail order and direct delivery.
