We are going to start reporting on the FDA Enforcement Reports that are issued every week. These are several Class I recalls that are not individually reported. Class I recalls are “a situation in which there is a reasonable probability that the use of or exposure to a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death,” according to the agency.
Dark Meat Fajita School Lunch #3 is being recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. The product is by Pepper Source Limited. An ingredient used to manufacture the product tested positive for Salmonella. The lot numbers include 020401, 020402, 020403, 020404, 020405, 020406, 020407, 020408, 020409, 020410, 020411, 020412 (611 bags, manufactured on 1/20/14), and lot numbers 022401, 022402, 022403 (152 bags, manufactured on 1/22/14).
Yukon Concessions Alaska is recalling several different types of biscotti because of undeclared wheat, soy, and milk. They include the Sampler Bag, Lemon Biscotti Dipped in White Chocolate, Cranberry Dipped in White Chocolate, Almond Dipped in Dark Chocolate, Blueberry Drizzled in White Chocolate, Traditional Toasted Almond Biscotti, Alaskan Birch Brittle with Dark Chocolate, Chocolate Delight Dipped in Dark Chocolate, Cran-Almond Biscotti, Hazelnut Biscotti, and Mandarin Orange Tozzetti Biscotti. Rise n Roll Bakery & Deli is recalling products produced on or before 1/13/14 for undeclared egg. They include White Powdered Donuts, Chocolate Donuts, Bavarian Creme Donuts, Apple Fritter, Caramel Donuts, Cinnamon Caramel Donuts, and Glazed Donuts. Raspberry Creme Donuts are being recalled for undeclared egg, undeclared Yellow #5 and undeclared Yellow #6. Nutty Crunch and Amish Wedding Nutty Crunch are being recalled for undeclared peanuts.
And finally, Deb-El Foods is recalling Dried Whole Eggs for undeclared milk. The lot numbers are 1573, 1873, 1843, 2073 (repackaged into 3253 and 3263), and 3273.
