Free Hepatitis A Vaccines After Missouri Red Robin Scare

Health officials in Missouri are quickly responding after a Hepatitis A scare at Springfield area Red Robin. Anyone who ate at the restaurant from May 8 to May 16, 2014 may have been exposed.

VaccineThe Springfield-Greene County Health Department has already given free vaccinations to 2,011 people who showed up during a two-day, no-cost clinic on May 22 and May 23. Free clinics will continue throughout Memorial Day weekend at CoxHealth and Mercy Springfield.

At Mercy, vaccines will be available from noon to 4 p.m. May 24-26 at the Smith Glynn Callaway building’s urgent care at 3231 S. National Ave. Cox’s vaccines, also be available from noon to 4 p.m. May 24-26, will be given at the Turner Center’s urgent care at 1000 E. Primrose. Beginning Tuesday anyone who still needs a vaccine can visit the Health Department’s Westside Public Health Center at 660 S. Scenic Ave. from 7:30 to 10 a.m.
