In Canada, Purity Candy Recalled for Undeclared Wheat

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Purity Factories are recalling some candies from the marketplace because they contain wheat that is not declared on the label. Those with an allergy to wheat or gluten could have a serious allergic reaction if they consume these products. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled products are Purity Chocolate Kisses in 170 gram packages. The UPC number is 0 57858 08061 6. Also recalled is Purity Butterscotch Kisses in 170 gram packages. The UPC number is 0 57858 08044 9. All codes where wheat is not declared on the label are recalled. The candies were sold nationally at the retail level. If you purchased these products and are allergic to wheat or sensitive to gluten, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
