Lily’s Bloom Kitchen Issues Allergy Alert for Milk in Poparoons

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is alerting consumers that Lily’s Bloom Kitchen of Fridley has issued an allergy alert for undeclared milk in five flavors of Poparoons, a type of macaroon cookie. Milk is one of the major food allergens, and anyone with an allergy to it could have a serious reaction if they eat these products.

Recall SignageNo reports of illness have been received to date. The Lily’s Bloom Kitchen Poparoon flavors that contained milk not listed on the label include lemon, key lime, strawberry, blueberry, and chocolate chipped in a white chocolate coating. The products are being voluntarily recalled. This recall affects only products that were distributed in Minnesota before May 3, 2014. Poparoons sold on or after May 3, 2014 have been properly labeled.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to milk, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
