More Raw Carob Powder Recalled for Salmonella

Hummingbird Wholesale is recalling organic raw carob powder for possible Salmonella contamination. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Recall SignageThe products were sold to processors and retail outlets in Oregon, Washington, and California, and to the end consumer in Oregon. For the consumer, the powder was packaged in 20 pound boxes and 5 pound bags between the dates of 5/22/14 through 7/24/14.

For the 20 pound boxes, the HW Item # is C110, Lot #s are 14069 and 14059, Sunfood UPC number isĀ 803813-04429 8, and Expiration Dates are 6/5/2015 or 11/2015. For the 5 pound bags, the HW Item # is C110-5#, the Lot #s are 14189, 14177, 14156, and 14142. There is no UPC number and no expiration date on these packages.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them or use them. Discard in a closed container or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
