Pedigree Dog Food Sold at Sam’s Club Recalled for Metal Fragments

Pedigree dog food pedigree-recallsold at Sam’s Club in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio is being recalled for metal fragments. This is an expansion of a previously announced recall for Pedigree dog food sold at Dollar General stores in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. There have been no reports of injury.

The recall expansion includes 55-pound bags of Pedigree Adult Complete Nutrition dry dog food that may contain small metal fragments. The particles are not embedded in the food, but may present a risk of injury if consumed.

Consumers who have purchased this food should discard it or return it to the retailer for a full refund or exchange. No other Pedigree products are included in the recall.

The recalled 55-pound bags sold at Sam’s Club have the lot code432E1KKM03 on the back of the bag near the UPC and a Best Before date of 8/7/15.  The 15-pound bags sold at Dollar General stores have the lot code 432C1KKM03 printed on the back of the bag near the UPC and a Best Before date of 8/5/15.
