Whole Foods CT Recalls Tarte Aux Pommes for Undeclared Almonds

Three Connecticut Whole Foods Market locations are recalling Tarte Aux Pommes for undeclared almonds, or tree nuts, one of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy to tree nuts could have a serious allergic reaction if they consume this product. No allergic reactions or illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled product was sold in West Hartford Center, Bishops Corner, and Glastonbury, Connecticut. The 6 inch tart was mislabeled as a “Tarte Aux Pomme 10 IN” and has a “best by” date between November 20 and December 1, 2014. The six inch tart contained almonds as an ingredient, which was not declared on the label. It was sold in the stores between Sunday, November 16 and Friday, November 28, 2014.

Signage is posted at the stores to notify customers. If you purchased this product and are allergic to almonds or tree nuts, do not eat it. Bring the receipt to the store for a full refund.
