Wyoming Authentic Products of Cody, WY is recalling 365 pounds of beef jerky products because of a “processing deviation,” according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The recalled products, sold under the Wyoming Gourmet Beef brand name, were sold at retail stores in Colorado, Utah, Washington and Wyoming and through Internet sales to other states.
The recalled products were produced between November 4 and December 18, 2013. They include: 3.5-oz. packages of “ALL NATURAL ANGUS ORIGINAL FLAVOR JERKY” with the case code “05AE30811;” 3.5-oz. packages of “ALL NATURAL ANGUS PEPPERED FLAVOR JERKY” with the case codes “06AE30821” , “05AE31021” , “05AE31711” or “05EIJ32511;” 3.5-oz. packages of “ALL NATURAL ANGUS HONEY FLAVOR JERKY” with the case code “04AE30921.” The the establishment number “EST. 44972” is stamped inside the USDA mark of inspection on the recalled products.
The company discovered the problem and brought it to the attention of FSIS. There have been no reports of illness associated with the products.
