Aurora Walnuts and Trail Mix Recalled for Salmonella

Aurora Products of Connecticut is recalling some lots of walnuts and trail mixes containing walnuts because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Recall SignageThe product was distributed nationwide through retail stores, and in Canada and Bermuda. Testing by an outside company contracted by  the FDA revealed Salmonella in one container of natural walnuts product. You can see the long list of recalled products at the FDA web site, along with package sizes, UPC numbers, and best by dates.

The recalled products include walnuts, roasted salt mixed nuts, roasted no salt missed nuts, raisin nut party mix, cranberry health mix, 5K omega trail mix, Forest bounty grail mix, cranberry health mix, and roasted salt mix nuts, among others. They were sold at Whole Foods Market stores, Martins Food Markets, Stop & Shop, Giant Carlisle Food Store, Giant of Maryland, and Brand Products

If you purchased any of these items, do not eat them. Discard in a sealed container or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
