Metro Gluten Free Ravioli Recalled for Salmonella

The Contes Pasta Company has recalled Metro Brand Irresistibles Gluten Free Cheese Ravioli for possible Salmonella contamination. This information was included in the December 23, 2015 Enforcement Report released by the FDA. This company recalled Conte’s Gluten Free Ravioli for possible Salmonella contamination in November 2015, but these products were not mentioned during that original recall.

RecallThe recalled products include Metro Irresistibles Gluten Free Cheese Ravioli in 9 ounce bags. The use by date on the product is 020317. Also recalled is Metro Brand Irresistibles Gluten Free Cheese Rvioli with Marinara Sauce Microwave Meal in 340 gram (12 ounce) packages. The use by date on that product is 021117. These products were sold in CT, FL, IL, IN, MI, NH, NJ, NY, PA, VT, and WI, and were also distributed to Canada.

The Salmonella was found in a raw product used to make these products by a third party lab. If you purchased either of these products, do not use them. Throw them away in a sealed container or return to the place of purchase for a full refund.
