Recall of Barber Chicken in Canada for Salmonella Updated

The recall of Barber Foods frozen raw chicken products for possible Salmonella contamination in Canada has been updated to include more products. There is an outbreak linked to these products in the U.S., but no illnesses have been reported so far in Canada.

The newly recalled products include Raw Stuffed Chicken Breasts – Cordon Swiss, Raw Stuffed Chicken Breasts – Broccoli & Cheese, Stuffed Breaded Chicken Breast Cutlettes/Uncooked – Broccoli & Cheese, A la Kiev – Breasts of Chicken, Stuffed Breaded Chicken Breast Cutlettes/Uncooked – Ham & Cheese, and Breasts of Chicken filled with Broccoli and Cheese. They were sold nationwide.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them and do not remove them from the package. Discard in a double bagged container or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
