Texas Star Nut and Food Expands Macadamia Recall for Salmonella

Texas Star Nut and Food Company is expanding its March recall of products for Salmonella contamination to include more products. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these products.

Macadamia NutsThe recalled items are Nature’s Eats Mustang Island Macadamia Sunrise in 14 ounce cello bags. The lot codes are 35337001, 35168001, and 35542001. Also recalled are Nature’s Eats Natural Macadamia Nuts in 6 ounce cello bags. The lot codes for that product are 31133001, 31435001, 35014001, and 35352001. Finally, Central Market brand Natural Macadamia Nuts in 6 ounce cello bags is recalled. The lot codes are 35090001 and 35699001.

These products were distributed to HEB grocery stores in Texas between 12/15/2014 and 3/20/2015. All products, including these, were pulled from all locations as of 3/20/2015. Consumers may still have these products in their homes, which is why the recall was issued.

If you purchased any of these items, do not eat them. Discard in a sealed container or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
