Whole Foods Recalls Macadamia Nuts for Salmonella

Whole Foods Market is recalling packaged raw macadamia nuts because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

Recall SignageThe recalled item is “Whole Foods Market Raw Macadamia Nuts” in 11 ounce plastic tubs. The product has a best-by date of February 4, 2016. The UPC number is 7695862059-1. They were sold in Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah.

Routine testing by the FDA discovered the problem. If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Discard in a sealed container so other people and animals can’t eat it, or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
