Foster Poultry Farms Chicken Nuggets Recall for Foreign Objects

Recall SignFoster Poultry Farms of Farmerville, La.  is recalling frozen, fully cooked chicken nuggets for foreign materials. The recalled product was produced on Feb. 22, 2016 and March 8, 2016 and shipped to distributors in Alaska, Arizona, California, Utah, and Washington state.

The recall includes 220,450 pounds of fully cooked frozen chicken nuggets that may be contaminated with extraneous blue plastic and black rubber materials. Consumers who have purchased this product should not eat it.

The fully cooked, frozen chicken breast nuggets were sold in 5-lb. bags labeled FOSTER FARMS “Breast Nuggets – Nugget Shaped Breaded Chicken Breast Patties with Rib Meat”  with best by dates of 2/21/17 and 3/8/17; and 10-lb. bulk boxes containing FOSTER FARMS “Fully Cooked Breast Nuggets – Nugget Shaped Chicken Breast Patties with Rib Meat Fritters with package codes 6053 and 6068.

The recalled products have the establishment number “P-33901” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The problem was discovered by consumers. At the time of the recall, no confirmed reports of adverse reactions had been reported. Consumers who have purchased these products can return them to the place of purchase.
