Herrs Foods Recalls Chipotle Potato Chips for Salmonella

Herrs Foods is recalling Herr’s brand and Peddler’s Pantry Smoked Chipotle Flavored Potato Chips for possible Salmonella contamination. The products were made with Chipotle seasoning that included a milk ingredient produced by Valley Milk Products. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these products. No lab tests have confirmed the presence of Salmonella in these products.

The recalled products are Herr’s Smoked Chipotle Kettle Cooked Potato Chips in two sizes. The first is 2.625 ounce packages with UPC number 72600 03339 and best by dates November 13, 2016 thru March 27, 2017. The second size is in 8 ounce packages, with UPC number 72600 03420 and best by dates November 26, 2016 thru April 24, 2017. Also recalled is Peddler’s Pantry Smoke Dried Chipotle Kettle Cooked Potato Chips in 2.0 ounce packages. The UPC number is 72600 07789 and the best by dates are December 25, 2016 thru March 27, 2017. The packages are gold, white, and brown metabolized bags.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
