Kroger Recalls Chocolate Brownies for Undeclared Walnuts

The FDA’s Enforcement Report for the week of January 13, 2016 includes a recall of Kroger’s chocolate brownies for undeclared walnuts. A consumer notified the company about the presence of the tree nut in the product. There is no word on whether or not any illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported in connection with the consumption of this product.

Recall SignThe recalled product is Bakery Fresh Goodness Chocolate Brownie, sold in 16 ounce (1 pound) packages. The code on the product is Lot 15307 Sell by 02 Aug 2016. The product was shipped to Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to walnuts, or tree nuts, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
