Oysters Recalled in Canada for Possible Salmonella

Atlantic Shellfish Products and the CFIA are recalling oysters from the marketplace in Canada for possible Salmonella contamination. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of these products. The products were sold in Quebec and may have been sold nationally.

The brand name for all of the recalled products is Atlantic Shellfish Products Inc. None of the products have UPC numbers. The recalled products include Malpeque Choice Oysters in 140 count packages, with Process Date: 30-Aug-16, Shipping date: 30-Aug-16, LOT #: 243/1/201, and Harvest Location: PE4C. Also recalled is Malpeque Choice Oysters in 100 count packages, with Process Date: 30-Aug-16, Shipping date: 30-Aug-16, LOT #: 243/1/201, and Harvest Location: PE4C.

Malpeque Choice Oysters in 80 count packages are also recalled, with Process Date: 30-Aug-16, Shipping date: 30-Aug-16, LOT #: 243/1/201, and Harvest Location: PE4C. Finally, Malpeque Choice Oysters in 100 count packages are recalled, with Process Date: 02-Sep-16, Shipping date: 02-Sep-16, LOT #: 243/1/201, and Harvest Location: PE4C are recalled.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
