Pork Skins Recalled for Possible Salmonella Contamination

Pork Rinds & Snacks is recalling about 7,629 pounds of pork skin products that may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. They were made with recalled Valley Milk Products milk powder used in a seasoning mix. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these products.

The products were produced on various dates between September 27, 2016 and December 13, 2016. They include Wallace’s Old Fashioned Fried Pork Skins flavored with Salsa & Sour Cream Seasoning Chicharrones in 9/16 ounce plastic packages. The best by dates range from JAN 05 17 to MAR 23 17. Also recalled is Wallace’s Old Fashioned Fried Pork Skins flavored with Salsa & Sour Cream Seasoning Chicharrones in 1.5 ounce plastic packages. The best by dates range from JAN 05 17 to MAR 23 17. Finally, Country Time Old Fashioned Fried Pork Skins Chicharrones Salsa & Sour Cream Flavor in 9/16 ounce packages is recalled. The best by dates range from JAN 05 17 to MAR 23 17.

These product have the establishment number “EST. M00888” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were sold to retail locations in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away in a sealed container or a double bagged package, or take them back to the place of purchase for a refund.
