Recall of Imperial Salmon Roe for Botulism Updated

Imperial Caviar & Seafood is updating their recall of Salmon Roe in Canada for potential Clostridium botulinum contamination to include more information. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.

Important Notice Recall

The recalled product is Imperial Caviar & Seafood brand Salmon Roe in 50 gram packages. The UPC number isĀ 1 86866 00010 8 and the codes on the product are BB/MA: 23-AUG-2017 LOT: 23616-03. It was sold in Quebec at the retail level.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. A tiny amount of botulism toxin can cause serious illness and death. Throw it away in a sealed or double bagged package or take it back to the place of purchase for a refund.
