Republic of Tea Recalls Product for Salmonella

The Republic of Tea is recalling Organic Turmeric Ginger Green Tea because it may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of this product. One of the company’s suppliers notified them that the organic ginger used in the product may be contaminated with Salmonella. The company has tested supplies of its ginger and has found no contamination.

Recall SignThe recall is for Organic Turmeric Ginger Green Tea in 50 count tins, with UPC number 7-42676-40355-5 and best by date of March 23, 2018. Also recalled is Organic Turmeric Ginger in 250 count bulk bags with UPC number 7-42676-30655-9 and best by date of March 23, 2018. Organic Turmeric Ginger in 250 count bulk bags with UPC number 7-42676-30655-9 and best by date of April 13, 2018 is also recalled, along with Organic Turmeric Ginger in 50 count refill bag with UPC number 7-42676-42155-9 and best by date of March 23, 2018.

If you purchased any of these products, do not use it. Throw it away in a sealed container, or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
