SuperMom’s, Take Away Cafe and Express Cafe Tuna Sandwiches Recalled

tuna-sandwich-recallNorthern Tier Bakery LLC has issued a recall for 4.5 oz. Tuna Salad Sandwiches sold under the brand names SuperMom’s Kitchen,  Take Away Café and Express Café. Because of a labeling error caused by a third party supplier, the label does not indicate that the product contains milk, an allergen, which is undeclared on the packaging label.

Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The recalled sandwiches, packaged in a black wedge container and marked with “Enjoy Through: 3/11,” were available for sale on March 8, 2016, at retail convenience stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin. No illnesses had been reported at the time of the recall.  No other products are affected by this issue.
