Veg-Pak Produce Recalls Peppers in Canada for Salmonella

Veg-Pak Produce Ltd. in Canada is recalling Hot Peppers – Red Thai because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. These peppers were sold in Ontario at the retail level. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of these products.

The recalled products are Veg-Pak Produce brand name Hot Peppers – Red Thai in 75 gram packages. The UPC number of the product is 0 59559 00021 4, and the codes on the product are A496201 186, A518901 186, G496201 185, and C496201 181. CFIA test results triggered this recall.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed or double bagged package so other people and animals can’t eat it, or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Wash your hands with soap and water after handling this product.
