Fat Cat Purry-Purry Hot Sauce Recalled for Undeclared Peanuts

One production batch of Fat Cat Purry-Purry Sauce has been recalled for potential peanut contamination. Peanuts are one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to that ingredient could have a serious or fatal reaction if they eat this product. No reactions have been reported to date.

The recalled product was sold specifically to Winn-Dixie Supermarkets, BI-LO Supermarkets and Harvey’s Supermarkets in the Southeastern U.S. The stores that carried the recalled product are located in  Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Louisiana specifically.

The recalled product is Fat Cat Purry-Purry Hot Sauce in 5 ounce glass bottles. The necks of the recalled bottles have the lot number FCPPMAY092019. Their supplier of peri-peri peppers used in the product may be contaminated with peanuts.

If you purchased this product between May 10, 2017 and June 8, 2017, and are allergic to peanuts, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
