Chocolate and Nut Tray and Amaretto Chocolate Cherries Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

Two products, a Chocolate and Nut Tray, and Chukar Amaretto Rainier Chocolate Cherries, have been recalled for undeclared allergens. One allergic reaction was reported in connection with the Chukar Amaretto Rainier Chocolate Cherries recall.

Chukar Cherries of Prosser, Washington is recalling 7.5 ounce Amaretto Rainier Chocolate Cherries because they may contain undeclared milk. Anyone who is allergic to milk or who is lactose intolerant could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. One illness was reported.

The product is in a 7.5 ounce package. The cherries were distributed in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Maryland, Maine, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington state, and Wyoming through retail stores. The product is sold in plastic pouches with UPC numberĀ 0 11261 22307 7 and a best by date of 09/2019.

Amaretto Rainier Chocolate Cherries Recall

The second recalled product is First Source Chocolate and Nut Tray because it contains undeclared tree nuts, pecans and cashews. The product was distributed to 98 Wegmans Food Markets in Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The tray was sold from November 8, 2018 through November 20, 2018.

The recalled product combines in a four-quadrant plastic tray with NET WT 37 OZ (2 LBS 5 OZ) 1.05KG, with UPC numberĀ 0 23637 43369 0 and best before date of 07/09/19. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date in connection with this recalled product.

Product containing pecans and cashews were distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of those allergens. The problem was caused by a breakdown in the company’s labeling process.

If you purchased either of these products and are allergic to the respective allergens, don’t eat them. Either return them to the store where you bought them, or throw them away.
