Dukkah Recalled For Glass Pieces, Salsa Mix Recalled for Undeclared Milk

Two recalls have been announced by the FDA. The first is for Concord Fresh Success Mild Salsa Seasoning Mix for undeclared milk, and the second for Sid Wainer and Son Jansal Valley brand Dukkah, for pieces of glass. No injuries or allergic reactions have been reported to date in either recall.

Sid Wainer and Son of New Bedford, Massachusetts is recalling Jansal Valley brand Dukkah because it may contain foreign material in the form of pieces of glass.  Dukkah is a spice blend.

The recalled product, Jansal Valley brand Dukkah is packaged in 2.5 ounce packages. The cases contain six 2.5 ounce units each. It is packed in a circular tin can with a clear label. The best by date is 08/28/2020. The lot code for the case is L2033968, and the lot code for the individual tins is L2034198. It was distributed nationwide at the retail level.

The second recall is for Concord Fresh Success Mild Salsa Seasoning Mix for undeclared milk. Anyone who is allergic to milk or who is lactose intolerant could have a reaction if they eat this product.

The recalled product is Concord Fresh Success Mild Salsa Seasoning Mix, with a best by date code of 071121. This code is embossed on the right side panel of the product at the bottom. No other Concord Fresh Success products are affected by this recall. The product containing milk was distributed in packaging that wasn’t labeled properly.

If you bought either of these products, don’t eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
